About this micro-credential

This micro-credential recognises the ability to design and evaluate immersive learning environments that prioritise user experience, usability and meaningful interaction. It reflects competences in applying user-centred design principles to create intuitive, engaging and effective Extended Reality (XR) learning experiences aligned with vocational contexts. It also validates the capacity to integrate accessibility, inclusion and learner well-being into immersive environments, while ensuring ethical and responsible use of XR technologies, including considerations of privacy, data use and digital responsibility.

Learning outcomes

  • Identify the main user experience and interaction design concepts relevant to Extended Reality (XR) based learning.
  • Explain how usability, comfort, presence, accessibility and feedback influence immersive learning quality.
  • Apply user-centred design principles to the planning of XR learning experiences in VET.
  • Identify inclusive and accessible design strategies for XR learning environments.
  • Evaluate immersive learning experiences with regard to motivation, well-being, ethics, privacy and digital responsibility.
