About this micro-credential

This micro-credential recognises the ability to design and implement Extended Reality-supported learning using learner-centred, experiential and work-based pedagogical approaches in VET contexts. It reflects competences in creating XR learning experiences aligned with vocational outcomes, while ensuring inclusion, accessibility, safety and ethical responsibility. It also validates the capacity to evaluate XR-based learning and contribute to its sustainable integration within VET systems through collaboration, staff development and continuous quality improvement.

Learning outcomes

  • Distinguish the main Extended Reality (XR) concepts and identify their educational potential in VET contexts
  • Apply learner-centred, experiential and work-based learning principles to XR-supported vocational education
  • Design simple XR learning experiences aligned with learning outcomes
  • Identify inclusive, safe and ethically responsible practices for implementing XR-based learning
  • Recognise the organisational conditions and partnerships needed for sustainable XR integration in VET institutions

Competency standards

  • Pedagogical understanding of Extended Reality (XR) in VET: Ability to understand the educational potential of XR and its relevance for vocational education and training.
  • Learner-centred and experiential XR pedagogy: Ability to apply learner-centred, experiential and work-based learning principles to XR-supported teaching and learning in VET.
  • Design of XR-supported learning experiences: Ability to design XR learning activities and modules aligned with vocational competences, learner support and assessment requirements.
