HABITABLE

Create your Micro-credential

The Micro-credentials Certification Centre (MIC) provides organisations both within and beyond the HABITABLE consortium with the opportunity to develop and promote their own micro-credentials within the Habitat sector.

Through this service, training providers, companies and other organisations can contribute to a growing ecosystem of skills recognition, aligned with labour market needs and the green and digital transitions.

All approved micro-credentials are issued by the Habitat Sector Skills Certification Alliance and promoted by the organisation that develops them.

By creating a micro-credential through the MIC, your organisation can:

  • Increase the visibility of your training offer at European level
  • Contribute to skills recognition in the Habitat sector
  • Align your training with European approaches to micro-credentials
  • Support learners and professionals in validating their competences
  • Become part of a European network of organisations committed to lifelong learning

Who can apply?

The MIC is open to a wide range of organisations, including:

  • VET providers and training centres
  • Universities and higher education institutions
  • SMEs and companies
  • Research centres and sectoral organisations

Quality and transparency

All micro-credentials created through the MIC follow a structured approach based on:

  • clearly defined learning outcomes
  • transparent assessment methods
  • alignment with EQF levels, where applicable
  • connection to ESCO occupations, where relevant

This ensures consistency, comparability and relevance across all micro-credentials available in the system.

Recognition and value

Micro-credentials created through the MIC:

  • are issued by the Habitat Sector Skills Certification Alliance
  • are promoted by recognised organisations in the sector
  • reflect real skills needs and labour market demands

Although they are not formal qualifications, they provide strong sectoral recognition and practical value for learners and professionals.
