About this micro-credential

This micro-credential recognises the ability to support the development of work-readiness and employability skills in vocational and work-based learning contexts. It reflects competences in integrating technical, transversal, digital and green skills, and in applying work-based and immersive learning approaches to prepare learners for real workplace demands. It also validates the capacity to use Extended Reality (XR) supported scenarios to enhance safe, practice-oriented learning, including in areas such as industrial robotics, while promoting competence transfer, continuous improvement and responsible use of technology in professional environments.

Learning outcomes

  • Distinguish the main components of work-readiness and employability in VET and WBL contexts
  • Identify how digital competence and sustainability competence support employability and performance in the Habitat sector
  • Recognise the role of WBL and immersive learning in preparing learners for workplace performance.
  • Recognise the basic concepts of industrial robotics, automation and Extended Reality (XR) supported industrial training.
  • Identify how XR simulations can support safe, practice-oriented learning and skill transfer in industrial environments.

Competency standards

  • Work-readiness and employability in VET and WBL Ability to understand work-readiness as a combination of technical competences, soft skills and professional attitudes relevant to vocational education and work-based learning contexts.
  • Integration of transversal, digital and green competences Ability to integrate employability, digital competence and sustainability competence into vocational learning and workplace preparation in the Habitat sector.
  • Work-based and immersive learning for workplace preparedness Ability to apply WBL principles and immersive learning approaches, including Extended Reality (XR) supported scenarios, to strengthen workplace preparedness and professional performance.
  • Industrial robotics and XR-supported vocational training Ability to recognise how XR-supported industrial robotics training can contribute to skill acquisition, safety awareness and confidence in advanced work environments.
  • Competence transfer and responsible use of technology Ability to support competence transfer, continuous improvement and responsible use of technology in work-based and XR-supported training contexts.
